Dark, moody, and richly figured — black walnut is the forest’s drama in hardwood form. The edge grain here runs like winding trails through dusk: deep browns, hints of purple, and the occasional flash of sapwood. A board that balances function and bold visual storytelling.

Edge grain boards offer durability and a stable surface for everyday slicing, chopping, and feasting — all while showcasing the long, clean lines of the wood’s native story.

Each board is:

  • Built with care
  • Finished smooth and sealed with food safe (USP Grade) Mineral Oil
  • Crafted to last — heirloom-quality for kitchens that mean it

Need a juice groove?
Add a juice groove to your board for those carving days, citrus storms, and steak feasts. It’s a clean channel routed around the edge — designed to catch drips, juices, and the glory of your kitchen endeavors.
Juice grooves are available as an add-on — $30–$45 depending on board size. Just leave a note at checkout or reach out directly, and we’ll get it routed just right.

🧼 Board Care & Feeding
Your board will serve for many years with just a bit of love. After each use, hand wash with warm water and mild soap — never soak or put it in the dishwasher. Dry it upright and oil it regularly with food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner to keep it from drying out or cracking. With time and care, your board will deepen in color, smooth with age, and carry the marks of many good meals.
